Hazard

The ground wire in the furnace's junction box can become loose. If an electrical component then fails and short circuits, the unit poses a shock hazard.

Remedy

Consumers should contact Trane to receive a free replacement junction box and free installation. The firm is contacting customers directly. Consumers should avoid contact with the furnaces until the junction box is replaced.
